Why I Love Tea!

Drinking tea for me has been a love I have had since I was a child! I truly just love everything TEA!

If you were to ask most avid tea drinkers why they drink tea they may go into all the benefits of tea, such as the fact that many teas are known for their health properties. They will go on about the antioxidants and flavonoids and how it helps to keep your heart healthy and your blood vessels flexible as well as how teas are known to reinforce the body’s defense system making sure that one stays healthy. All information that is important and pertinent to why some one would participate in the act of drinking tea.

I on the other hand am a little less likely to go into all of the health benefits, which is for a later blog. See when I was a little girl growing up, they called me ‘Tea Bag,” the name came because I had to have something warm or hot to drink morning and night. I would not go to bed or leave the house if I had not had my “Tea.” Sometimes it was just a warm cup of milk fresh from our cow, scald with a little brown sugar added that substituted for tea. Most times it was the dark, rich flavored cup of mint tea made with leaves fresh from the garden, sweetened with brown sugar that sent me off to my daily adventures, feeling warm and loved! Where I grew up anything warm in a cup was tea, even hot chocolate was called tea. As a little girl I did not know the benefits of tea, all I knew was that when anyone was sick or not feeling well, they were given a cup of tea to help them feel better. There were different types of teas for different ailments. The tea seemed to work most times to make the sick well. Even in our playtime we would imitate real life and prepare tea for those who were not well. Even my cousins who played the doctor would recommend tea as a remedy for any ailments that came into the office.

Now as I have grown older and now own a mobile tea parlour, WWW.SIPSTEAPARLOUR.COM I am very aware of all the benefits that tea has to offer, however I have searched my mind as to why I love tea and still as beneficial as teas are, I am back to the place in my heart where I first experienced tea…HOME. So I came up with a brief list of why I love tea.

MY LIST OF WHY I LOVE TEA
  • Tea makes me feel good!
  • Tea soothes me and every sip makes me feel calm!
  • Tea reminds me of family and the warmth on my hands from the cup makes me feel loved.
  • Tea is cheap! You can get up to 25 cups of tea, from 2oz of tea, unlike most other beverages.
  • Tea is fun, there are lots of tea types and hundreds of flavors of tea and it is fun to try them all whenever I want to without breaking my budget hot or cold. I love the choices!
  • It’s calorie free

Even though my reasons for liking tea are a little different than most tea drinkers I will gladly take the health benefits as well.
SIP ON!
